Creative thinking has never been more important than it is today.

The world our children are growing up in is changing faster than ever. Many of the jobs, technologies, and challenges they will face as adults don't even exist yet. We can't prepare them by simply teaching them the right answers. We need to help them become people who can ask thoughtful questions, adapt, solve problems, and create new ideas.

Creativity is where innovation begins.

Every new invention, medical breakthrough, environmental solution, business, and technology started with someone who was willing to think differently. That takes more than imagination. It takes confidence, curiosity, resilience, and the courage to share an idea that may be different from everyone else's.

Creating is vulnerable. It's not always comfortable to try something new, make mistakes, or risk being wrong. But those experiences teach children to trust their thinking, persevere through challenges, and discover that their ideas have value.

Art is one of the few subjects where there isn't always one correct answer. Students are encouraged to explore, experiment, make decisions, solve problems, and express ideas that are entirely their own. They learn that different ideas can all have value, and that their unique perspective has something worthwhile to contribute.

That's why art education matters so much. It gives children regular opportunities to practice creativity, build confidence in their own ideas, and develop the courage to bring those ideas into the world.
